Grand Rogue Park Officially Opens
The Township’s new Grand Rogue Park is officially open for visitors to enjoy.
Township leaders and community members gathered at the park, 6400 West River Drive, on Oct. 20 for a brief ceremony to celebrate the grand opening and encourage residents to explore the park.
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. Parking is available in the gravel lot near the main entrance drive. Visitors can access a map of the park with their smartphone by hovering its camera over the QR code on each trail marker.
Grand Rogue Park is now the Township’s second-largest park. It offers 66 acres of woods, meadows, ponds and thousands of feet of river frontage along the Grand and Rogue rivers, providing opportunities for public access to these natural waterways. The park also offers hiking opportunities on unpaved natural trails.
Future park amenities will include fishing piers, picnic shelters, kayak and canoe launches, a scenic overlook of the Grand River and additional parking.
