Reminders for Safe Trick-or-Treating
Plainfield Township encourages residents to follow health and safety guidelines so everyone can have a fun Halloween.
If celebrating indoors, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends wearing a face covering regardless of vaccination status. That’s because Kent County is considered a substantial or high transmission area.
Additionally, the Kent County Sheriff's Office has a list of general Halloween safety tips here.
Plainfield Township does not set a date or time or regulate trick-or-treating activities, so the Township will not cancel the event due to bad weather or the pandemic. Most neighborhoods participate in trick-or-treat activities on Oct. 31 each year.
For the health and safety of all involved, please use good judgment when deciding on your approach.
