Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act is a Michigan Statue that gives the public the right to documents regarding the affairs of government, public officials and public employees. Under the Act, a person has the right to inspect, copy or receive copies of public records of a public body.

To make a Freedom of Information Request, download and complete the FOIA request form. Your request form can be emailed to, or dropped off at the Clerk's office at Township Hall. If you have any questions, please call the Clerk's office at (616) 364-6588. There are also charges that are associated with the Freedom of Information requests which can be viewed on the "FOIA Request Cost Worksheet" form on this page.
