Community Center Bond Proposal and Millage Proposal
At the February 10, 2020 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved placing the following proposals on the May 5th ballot for consideration by voters.

COMMUNITY CENTER OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND
IMPROVEMENT MILLAGE PROPOSAL
Shall the tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within Plainfield Charter Township be increased and a new additional millage be levied in the amount of up to 0.2 mills ($0.20 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2020 through 2039, inclusive, for the purpose of operating, maintaining and improving a community center, and shall the township levy such millage for such purpose, raising an estimated $265,000 in the first year of the levy?
